Trees by a lake in fog
“Fog” by Janis Cox

Fog

God, I am dry
I feel the fog around me
I can’t seem to feel Your presence

You used to be so close
Every morning I would sit
And feel You around me

Now my mind is running
My head is pounding
That special silence doesn’t come

What is wrong, Lord?
Why do I feel this way?
How can I rekindle my prayer lif
e?

Silence

Then a word
A small word
“Ask Me to show you how.”

Lord, I truly want to hear from You
I need to feel that peace that evades me
I want to know You more

Still struggling

Now I hear that soft Voice
My Creator’s Voice
Just rest in Me and I will do the rest

Peace

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)
